District 7 Spring Soccer League

UPDATED 1-19-09

District 7 introduces a Spring Soccer League for 2009. Spring league will begin this year with the intent of fulfilling two purposes: From the recreational (Class 4) side; the intent for spring league is to provide a place for players to continue growing their 'love for the game'. The environment is low pressure and lots of fun. For the more competitive (Class 1 and 3) side; the intent of Spring League is for evaluation and confidence building. Spring League will give coaches the ability to reassess their team's abilities for future placement for fall season. For either case; (competitive or recreational) Spring League is a upstart program to support the continuing development of youth soccer and soccer throughout the District. Participation is for all CYSA eligible players between the ages of 8-13 years old. Also, this is both boys and girls. Finally, this is for teams as well as individual's. Season to start on March 21, 2009. (SATURDAYS)
    Playing weekends:
  • March 21 &28, April 4th
  • 1st Bye: (no play except makeups) April 11th
  • Resume play: April 18th, 25th, May 2nd
  • 2nd Bye: May 9th
  • Final session of play: May 16th, 30th, June 6th
  • No Play- Memorial Weekend May 23rd.
  • Tournament: June 13th & 14th (tentative)
